Arken EPL-4 4-16×44 FFP — VHR, Zero Stop, 30mm Tube
The Arken EPL-4 4-16×44 FFP pairs top-tier Japanese Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) fluoride glass with a compact 30mm tube and a true First Focal Plane reticle, in one of Arken’s lightest and most manageable packages. A tool-less capped windage turret keeps the profile clean for hunting use, while Arken’s Zero Stop (AZS) elevation turret still gives you a fast, repeatable return to zero when you need to dial. At 24.1oz it’s built for shooters who want genuine FFP precision without adding weight to a hunting rig.
Key features
- Top-tier Japanese ED glass: Extra-Low Dispersion fluoride glass for minimal chromatic aberration and a bright, high-contrast sight picture.
- Arken Zero Stop (AZS) elevation turret: A tactile, mechanical zero stop gives you an instant, repeatable return to zero — no counting revolutions, no risk of dialing past it.
- Tool-less capped windage turret: A low-profile, snag-free design that keeps windage protected under a cap for hunting use, with no tool needed to remove it.
- True FFP reticle: The reticle grows and shrinks with magnification, so holdovers and ranging subtensions are accurate at every power setting, not just one.
- 30mm tube: A lighter, more compact profile than Arken’s 34mm scopes, suited to mounting on hunting rifles.
- Illuminated reticle: Red illumination for low-light and low-contrast targets.
- Compact and light: 13.4in long and 24.1oz — one of the lightest true-FFP scopes in the Arken range.
Choose your reticle: VHR, in MIL or MOA
VHR (Built for Speed) — a streamlined reticle with an intuitive holdover system, bold guides and a floating centre, designed for fast target acquisition in the field rather than a dense competition-style grid. We stock it in both subtension systems, so you can match it to however you already dial and hold:
- VHR-MIL — MIL-based subtensions, for MIL turrets and MIL ballistic data.
- VHR-MOA — MOA-based subtensions, for MOA turrets and MOA ballistic data.

Who it’s for
The EPL-4 4-16×44 is Arken’s lightweight, true-FFP option for hunters who don’t want to add bulk to their rifle. The 30mm tube and 24.1oz weight make it noticeably easier to carry than Arken’s 34mm scopes, while the FFP VHR reticle — available in MIL or MOA — still gives you accurate holdovers at any magnification if a shot stretches out further than expected. The capped windage turret keeps things snag-free in the field, with the Zero Stop elevation turret on hand for anyone who wants to dial rather than hold over.
Warranty
Backed by Arken’s lifetime warranty: Australian purchases are covered under the same global policy — if it fails to perform as advertised, it will be repaired or replaced.
