DNT Optics HYDRA HS650R — Multi-Function Thermal Scope with Laser Rangefinder & Ballistic Calculator
The HYDRA HS650R is DNT Optics’ flagship thermal system — a rifle-mounted scope, a clip-on unit, and a handheld monocular in one package, built around a 640×512 sensor, a 1,300-yard laser rangefinder and a built-in ballistic calculator. Detach it from the rifle with the included quick-detach mount and it goes straight to handheld glassing with no re-zero required when you remount it — one unit doing the work of three.

Key features
- 640×512 thermal sensor with Image Super Resolution: Uncooled infrared sensor with a 50mm lens, 50 FPS refresh and ≤18mK thermal sensitivity, sharpened further by DNT’s image super resolution processing for near-960-equivalent clarity at 10x digital zoom.
- Integrated laser rangefinder: Ranges out to 1,300 yards without switching devices.
- Built-in ballistic calculator: DNT’s ballistic engine combines with your ranged distance for a holdover solution, with custom profiles configurable through the DNT app.
- Three tools in one: Swap between rifle-mounted scope, clip-on unit, and handheld monocular using the included QDM150 quick-detach mount — no re-zeroing needed when you remount it.
- 1024×768 Micro-OLED display: Crisp, bright viewing at 50Hz.
- 2.5–10x digital magnification: From a 2.5x base magnification, for wide scanning and confirming a target at range.
- 8 thermal colour palettes: The widest palette selection in the HYDRA range, switchable on the fly.
- Shock-resistant housing: Built to withstand recoil up to .50 BMG.
- WiFi-enabled with DNT app support: Stream, review and manage footage from your phone.
- Built-in 32GB memory: Record what you see without needing a separate memory card.
- IP67 rated: Dust and water resistant, built to keep working through rain, dust and mud.
Ranging and ballistics, built in
Range a target with one press, and the HS650R’s built-in ballistic engine turns that distance into a holdover solution on the spot — no separate rangefinder, no phone app required in the field. Ballistic profiles are configured and synced through the DNT app, so your zero, caliber and load data travel with the scope.
Three tools in one
The included QDM150 quick-detach mount is what makes the HYDRA HS650R genuinely three devices in one: mount it to your rifle as a dedicated thermal scope, clip it on in front of your existing day optic, or pull it off the rail entirely and use it as a handheld thermal monocular for glassing. Reattach it to the same rifle and it holds zero — no re-sighting needed.
8 thermal colour palettes
White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Iron Hot, Sunburst, Ironblaze, Nightshade and Ultraviolet — switch between all eight on the fly to suit your target, background and light conditions:
