Arken EP-5 GenII 5-25×56 FFP — VPR / TOR, Zero Stop, 34mm Tube
The Arken EP-5 GenII 5-25×56 FFP pairs Arken’s Japanese Extremely-Low Dispersion (J-XED) glass with a 5x zoom range (5-25x) and Arken Zero Stop (AZS) tactical turrets, in a package built for shooters who want one scope that covers PRS, long-range hunting, and general range work without the extreme top-end reach — and price — of the 7-35×56. A larger ocular eyepiece gives a more forgiving eyebox for faster target acquisition, and as a true First Focal Plane (FFP) scope, every subtension and holdover on the reticle stays accurate at any magnification.
Key features
- J-XED glass: Arken’s Japanese Extremely-Low Dispersion fluoride glass virtually eliminates chromatic aberration, for a bright, true-colour, high-resolution sight picture edge to edge.
- Larger ocular eyepiece: A more forgiving eyebox than the standard EP-5 lineup, making it faster to get on target across a range of shooting positions.
- Arken Zero Stop (AZS) turrets: A tactile, mechanical zero stop gives you an instant, repeatable return to zero — no counting revolutions, no risk of dialing past it.
- True FFP reticle: The reticle grows and shrinks with magnification, so holdovers and ranging subtensions are accurate at every power setting, not just one.
- 34mm tube: A larger, stiffer main tube than the usual 30mm for more mechanical travel and mounting rigidity under recoil.
- Illuminated reticle: Red illumination for low-light and low-contrast targets, powered by a single CR2032 battery (included).
- Built tough: Aircraft-grade aluminium housing, .50 BMG recoil rated, and IP67 waterproof/dustproof with nitrogen purging for fog resistance.
- Included sunshade to cut glare and glint off the 56mm objective lens.
Choose your reticle: three options
VPR (Variable Precision Reticle) — a classic holdover grid with a 12 MIL usable holdover range, 0.25 MIL subtensions and a fine 0.04–0.08 MIL floating centre dot — a clean sight picture that suits range work and hunting without visual clutter. Available in two subtension systems, so you can match it to however you already dial and hold:
- VPR-MIL — MIL-based subtensions, for MIL turrets and MIL ballistic data.
- VPR-MOA — MOA-based subtensions, for MOA turrets and MOA ballistic data.
TOR (The One Reticle) — MIL only — a denser 16 MIL holdover grid with 0.2 MIL subtensions and a fine 0.05–0.08 MIL floating centre dot, fully illuminated and built for PRS/NRL-style competition where finer aiming precision at distance matters. TOR is only offered in MIL (TOR-MIL) — there’s no MOA version.

Who it’s for
The 5-25×56 is the more versatile sibling in the EP-5 GenII range — a wider field of view and larger eyebox at the low end for faster target acquisition, with still enough top-end magnification for real long-range work. It suits shooters who want one scope across PRS, extended-range hunting and general range time, rather than committing to the extreme reach of the 7-35×56. The Zero Stop turrets and true FFP reticle carry over from the rest of the GenII lineup, so you’re not giving up precision to get the friendlier zoom range.
Warranty
Backed by Arken’s lifetime warranty: Australian purchases are covered under the same global policy — if it fails to perform as advertised, it will be repaired or replaced.
