Arken Optics Targetlock TL3000 Weapon-Mounted Ballistic Laser Rangefinder
The Targetlock TL3000 is a compact, rail-mounted ballistic laser rangefinder that ranges out to 3,000 yards (2,743Â m) and works the firing solution for you. Built for PRS competitors, long-range hunters and newer precision shooters, it pairs a 905Â nm laser rangefinder with the DNT Ballistic Engine and Kestrel connectivity, then shows the result on a bright, anti-reflection-coated OLED display.
It sits low on the rail, weighs just 213Â g, and is rated IP67 and for .50 BMG recoil. Buttons are laid out to be found with gloves on or in low light, and the supplied wired pressure switch lets you fire the rangefinder without moving your hand from the rifle. A co-aligned green visible laser makes zeroing the rangefinder quick and doubles as a close-range aiming reference.
Key Features
- Ranges to 3,000Â yd (2,743Â m) on a reflective target, 2,000Â yd (1,829Â m) on a tree trunk and 1,100Â yd (1,006Â m) on deer
- ±1 yd accuracy out to 2,000 yd, with 0.1 yd resolution
- DNT Ballistic Engine with 10 onboard ballistic profiles (slots A–J) and 6,000+ ammunition profiles
- DNT app for iOS and Android to manage profiles and receive over-the-air updates
- Kestrel connectivity over Bluetooth pulls live weather data into your solution, or enter wind and atmospheric data manually without a sensor
- Co-aligned 515Â nm green visible laser for rapid rangefinder zeroing and close-range aiming
- OLED display with anti-reflection coating for readability in bright sunlight
- Included wired pressure switch for remote activation without changing your grip
- Mechanical rotary power switch (OFF / ON / L)
- IP67 waterproof and dustproof, rated for .50 BMG recoil
- Low-profile Picatinny mounting with the clamp pre-installed
- Bluetooth is on by default and can be switched off
Ballistic Solver
The DNT Ballistic Engine calculates a firing solution from the measured range, your saved profile and the environmental inputs. Each of the 10 profiles can hold zero distance, scope height, muzzle velocity, bullet diameter, weight and length, ballistic coefficient (G1 or G7), temperature, altitude, twist direction and twist rate.
Kestrel Compatibility
The TL3000 connects to compatible Bluetooth-enabled Kestrel weather meters, including the 2700 Ballistics, 5700 series (with LiNK), 5500, 5400 and 5000 (LiNK or Bluetooth variants), and legacy 4000, 4250, 4500 and 4500NV models with factory Bluetooth.
Mounting
The TL3000 mounts to a Picatinny rail. The recommended position is over the optic at 12 o’clock, above the riflescope, which requires a top-ring Picatinny rail. The unit ships with the Picatinny clamp installed and torqued at the factory. The cross-bolt nut takes a 12 mm hex bit and a torque wrench (not supplied), and Arken recommends 45 in-lbs (4 N·m).

Laser Safety
- The 905Â nm rangefinder laser is Class 1 and eye-safe in normal operation. Do not stare into either aperture or aim the beam at anyone’s eyes.
- The 515Â nm visible laser is Class 2. Do not stare into the beam.
- Only activate the visible laser with the rifle pointed in a safe direction at a backstop or target.
- Do not aim the green laser at mirrors, polished chrome, flat glass or windscreens.
- Do not view either laser aperture through magnifying optics such as spotting scopes or binoculars at close range.
