DNT Optics TNC225R ThermNight — Thermal & Night Vision Multi-Spectral Scope with Laser Rangefinder & Ballistic Calculator

The TNC225R ThermNight is DNT Optics’ dual-sensor fusion scope — a 256×192 thermal channel and a 1920×1080 Sony STARVIS 2 night vision channel, running side by side in the same housing. Switch between them with one button, or run Picture-in-Picture to see both a thermal detection view and a clear digital night vision image at the same time. Add a 1,100-yard laser rangefinder, a built-in ballistic calculator with digital gyroscope, and one-shot zeroing across both channels, and you’ve got a single optic that spots, identifies and ranges a target after dark.

Key features

  • Dual-sensor fusion: A 256×192 thermal channel (25mm lens, 3x base, 3–12x digital) alongside a 1920×1080 Sony STARVIS 2 night vision channel (52mm lens, 5x base, 5–20x digital) in one housing.
  • Picture-in-Picture (PIP) mode: View thermal detection and night vision identification in the same frame — spot the heat signature, then confirm what it is, without switching modes.
  • Integrated laser rangefinder: Class 3R eye-safe, ranging out to 1,100 yards.
  • Built-in ballistic calculator with digital gyroscope: DNT’s ballistic engine gives dial-in or holdover solutions, with cant and inclination correction from the onboard gyroscope.
  • One-shot zeroing on both channels: Zero the thermal and night vision channels independently, each holding its own zero.
  • Switchable dual-band IR illuminator: Detachable illuminator switches between 850nm and 940nm for the night vision channel.
  • 1024×768 Micro-OLED display: Shared by both channels, at 50Hz.
  • WiFi and Bluetooth enabled: Stream, review and manage footage from your phone via the DNT app.
  • Built-in 32GB memory: Record what you see without a separate memory card.
  • 800Gs shock rating and IP67 waterproofing: Built to handle heavy recoil and keep working through rain, dust and mud.

Two views, one target

PIP mode is what sets the ThermNight apart from a single-sensor scope: the thermal channel finds the heat signature in total darkness, while the night vision channel — built around a 1920×1080 Sony STARVIS 2 sensor — shows you a genuinely clear digital image to confirm exactly what you’re looking at, both on screen at once.

Ranging and ballistics, with a gyroscope built in

Range a target out to 1,100 yards with one press, and the ThermNight’s ballistic engine turns that distance into a dial-in or holdover solution using your ammunition profile from the DNT app. A digital gyroscope tracks cant and inclination as you shoot, correcting for angled shots rather than just flat-range distance — and with one-shot zeroing on each channel, your thermal and night vision zeros are set independently and held separately.
