DNT Optics Zulus HD V2 5-20X Night Vision Scope
The ZHD520R-V2 is the 5-20x, rangefinder-equipped model in DNT’s ZULUS HD V2 line-up — a Sony STARVIS 2 sensor and 60Hz Micro-OLED display that stays sharp from full daylight through to genuine darkness, backed by a built-in IR-850nm illuminator for when there’s no light left to work with. A built-in 5–1,100-yard laser rangefinder and ballistic calculator turn a range reading into a holdover instantly, and the upgraded 21700 battery and redesigned magnification lever make it a meaningful step up from the original ZULUS HD. Same classic monocular body, 5-20x magnification, and a scope built to stay on the rifle through heavy recoil.

Key features
- Sony STARVIS 2 sensor with ED glass lenses: 1920×1080 resolution at 60Hz, feeding a 60Hz 1920×1080 Micro-OLED display for a genuinely sharp, low-lag picture in daylight, dusk and into the dark.
- 5-20x digital magnification: Wide enough for close work, with the reach to identify targets at real distance.
- Built-in laser rangefinder: One-click ranging from 5 to 1,100 yards, with the result feeding straight into the ballistic calculator.
- Built-in ballistic calculator: Adjust settings directly on the device, or fine-tune ballistic profiles in more detail through the DNT App.
- IR-850nm illuminator, built in: No external illuminator required for full-dark conditions — it’s part of the scope.
- Upgraded 21700 battery: Up to 10 hours of runtime, up from 8 hours on the 18650-powered ZULUS HD V1.
- Redesigned magnification lever: A traditional-style throw lever replaces the old magnification wheel for quicker, glove-friendly adjustments.
- Upgraded 65mm eye relief: Safer spacing and a more relaxed shooting posture, reducing fatigue and recoil impact over a long session.
- 32GB built-in memory and WiFi: Onboard recording with DNT app connectivity.
- IP67 waterproof and .50 BMG recoil rated: Built to keep working through weather and heavy-caliber recoil alike.
One-click laser rangefinding
Range a target with a single press, and the ZHD520R-V2 does the rest — the reading feeds directly into the on-device ballistic calculator so you’re not juggling a separate rangefinder and a mental drop chart. Real footage below: a deer at 27 yards, ranged and displayed instantly on screen.
Built-in illumination for when it’s genuinely dark
Unlike a purely ambient-light digital scope, the ZHD520R-V2 has a built-in IR-850nm illuminator, so you’re not left guessing once natural light runs out. Real IR footage below: feral hogs at night, clearly resolved with the illuminator doing the work.
Ballistics, calculated instantly
Dial in zero distance, muzzle velocity, caliber, bullet weight, ballistic coefficient, temperature and altitude, and the ZHD520R-V2 works out the holdover for you — on the device itself, or with more detailed profile management through the DNT App.

The sensor behind the sharpness
A Sony STARVIS 2 sensor feeding a 60Hz, 1920×1080 Micro-OLED display is what gives the ZHD520R-V2 its clarity across lighting conditions — the same sensor generation used in DNT’s higher-end digital scopes, in a more accessible package.
Charge less, hunt more
Upgraded from the ZULUS HD V1’s 18650 battery to a high-capacity 21700, runtime jumps from 8 hours to up to 10 hours per charge — more time in the field, less time worrying about a battery indicator.
